Before Kaepernick there was Abdul-Rauf. Former NBA player with the Denver Nuggets, Sacramento Kings and Vancouver Grizzlies. His personal convictions in the face of national group contagion after 9/11 eventually led to him being expelled from the NBA. He remains resolute.
